I am a little confused about all this pod/vodcasting. The part that particularly stuck out to me was where the paper was talking about how class lectures could be recorded and uploaded to the web. Isn’t sound recording a technology that has been around for quite some time? I’ve had a little “toy” for quite some time now that will record my voice in wav, and then I can upload it into mp3 format in just a few minutes. What is it about this new pod/vod technology that is making sound recording all of a sudden reach new heights?
