Hi, my name is Laurie Bates. I am so excited about PR campaigns and even more excited about my teacher Robert French. This is my last summer of classes and I can't wait until I have the opportunity to use all of the wonderful things I have learned as a PR student at Auburn University in the real working world. I will be interning this fall with Comfort Care Hospice and will graduate in December.
This is my first time blogging and I am really excited about becoming a part of the blogging world.

Hello again contributors! Last semester I was involved in marcomblog through Robert's Style and Design for PR class. From what I understand, marcomblog contributors are lonely since students have been on hiatus. But, we are back and ready to keep you busy with our comments!

This summer I am experiencing a dramatic lifestyle change. For the past four semesters, I have taken at least 18 class hours while working. Now, I only have one three-hour class and my job! I'm looking forward to enjoying my last semester at Auburn!

Nevertheless, I am still working at the Auburn/Opelika Convention and Visitors Bureau. Earlier last year, I joined the AOCVB as an intern. After my internship was complete, the staff asked me to continue working until I graduate.

My experience in the tourism and travel industry has been fabulous! Since the staff is small, I am given a wide variety of substantial tasks like maintaining the AOCVB web site and formulating publications.

Graduation is just around the corner and I am actively on the job search...wish me luck!

Hello! My name is Rebecca Thomas. The class that I am currently in (PRCM 4090) is my last class at Auburn before I graduate. I am expecting to learn a lot because I have had Robert as a teacher previously. I am also interning this summer with the City of Auburn. The Dixie Youth World Series is in Auburn this year. So the primary focus of my internship will be in promoting, planning and writing press releases etc. for the DYWS. I am looking forward to developing a campaign for a client this summer. All of our possible clients have nothing to do with sports...something that I am grateful for because I want to gain as much diverse experience as possible. Hopefully by the end of the summer semester I will feel very prepared for the jump into the "real world scene".

Hello there! My name is Summer, and I am so excited about this opportunity to blog on marcom. I am a senior in PR who is graduating in August with a minor in Spanish. I am moving to Spain in September where I have an apartment, but no job yet.I have a strong desire to be fluent in Spanish, which is why I am making such a drastic move. Hopefully, after a year or two, I will be able to combine both my PR knowledge I learned at Auburn University (under such wonderful teaching from experts like Robert French:), and my new Spanish-speaking skills. I guess only time will tell if my move from Auburn, Alabama to San Javier, Spain pays off.

Hello PR world! My name is Megan. I am probably the student that will have most to say, but will end up saying nothing at all. I have good thoughts and ideas, but I often find that my brain spits out a more simplistic, much less developed idea. I know this comes with being in school and as much as experience as I THINK I have, I'm sure i'm in for a LARGE learning experience this semester! I am interning as well as taking classes this semester and look foward to sharing my ideas, as well as receiving constructive criticism! I hope anyone who reads this has a truly blessed day and that you shall never encounter roomate troubles!!!! :)
