Just to explain the new theme, WordPress put out an update to the software/scripts. Sadly, it broke the old theme. So, I have temporarily made this ’sort of similar’ theme for the blog. We’ll undertake a new theme in Fall’s Style & Design class.
UPDATE: We now have ‘captcha’ enabled comments, too. This should speed up commenting and make the conversations flow faster. Check out any post and see how the new ‘captcha’ image & code system works for posting comments.
Also, Babelfish has a translation sidebar add-on that is now included on this blog. Choose the flag of the eight countries/languages offered, and the whole page will be translated. The languages are: Chinese, Japanese, Korean, German, Spanish, French, Italian and Portuguese.
This is a great tool and I am very happy to have it for the blog. Considering that we have Spanish and French contributors, now maybe we can find contributors from the other six countries.
Any PR practitioners from China, Japan, Korean, Germany, Italy and Portugal listening in? Do any of our visitors wish to recommend one from each country? If so, comment here or write to me using the contact link in the sidebar.
Hope the theme and new tool are agreeable to all.

This tool will be the perfect addition to the Opelika City Schools interactive newsroom! Opelika does have a significant Korean and Spanish community. Translation options on this blog will be a great way to communicate with these publics.

I remember Kate mentioning something about a German company coming to or already in Opelika. She had actually been to a meeting about it one of the days she came to meet with us. I think that this too is a great tool, especially as we see more and more international companies coming to the U.S. What a great opportunity to get these people involved in the community and for us to learn more about different cultures.
