What a great example of the use of multimedia to cover such a monumental event. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

As a born and raised Alabamian, I have learned much over the years of the courageous Rosa Park and her hisory making bus ride. This particular spotlight on the event was nonetheless enlightening. The publication did a great job of including everyone no matter from which medium they choose to get their news. This seems to be done more and more often these days, which in my opinion is a productive thing.

I especially appreciated the quote from the Online Director, "I think it's the duty of news organizations not only to cover the news of the day but to preserve the news of the past," said Online Director Paul Crawford, who coordinated the Web site's development. "Covering fires and car crashes and all that is fine, but the big stuff that changes the world -- that's the reason we got into this business."

How true that statement is. It is refreshing to be able to learn something in the news about a historical event in the midst of the ever-changing news of the Nick and Jessica saga.
