Hey Jennifer, not at all. Please join in all the conversations here. We will benefit from your involvement.

I think you are right. If nothing else, PR practitioners (and students) should be exploring blogs and considering their value as a tactic for PR. To not do so will leave you behind the pack.

Thanks for joining us and I hope the internship continues well. I know what you mean about the up and down times of activity. In event planning, for instance, my experience is that there is a lot of that "hurry up and wait" activity all the time.

Take care.

Hi all,

I am not a student at Auburn, but I thought I would throw in my two cents (if you don't mind, Robert)! I have been blogging on PRBlogs.org for several months now and it is quite an experience. I was actually introduced to the site by another blogging professional and I in turn try to recommend it to my friends and my classmates who are going to PR.

Whether you realize it or not, we already have a leg up on our peers. Many of my classmates unfortunately do not realize the benefit (or matter of fact, see no benefit) in blogging and may be at a loss if they shy away from it too much longer.

My advice to those of you who have never blogged before would be to thirst for knowledge, write your thoughts, and just have fun. :-)

Hey gang,
thanks for the intros. I look forward to some engaging dialogue this Spring.
Just a little clarification to those of you that have actually stopped by my blog, Adventures in Business Communications. While I post regularly on PR best practices, technology for PR, entrepreneurship, I also post on fun stuff like sports and politics. You may or may not agree with some of my posts...but that's the point, right? Healthy disagreement is the foundation of our great country. It certainly makes for a healthy and competitive business environment. Feel free to disagree at any time...it's your birthright as an American.

Now I'll step down off my rickety soapbox...let's have some fun! PLease don't underestimate the value of open, online dialogue to your future as communicators.

Yes, we are going to follow the same practices as last year.

Feel free to post away. They've already been visiting your blog and I expect to see comments starting soon.

Hey Robert and Robert's students! I am one of the professional contributors... and hope to contribute something meaningful. We'll see!

Robert, are we on the same contribution procedure as last year?

All the best, Allan

Hey, everyone! My name is Matt Simpson and I'm from the sugar white beaches known as Destin, Fla. I am a senior in public relations, and will finish up classes this summer, and am currently searching for an internship with a full-service PR firm in Nashville this fall. I enjoy playing drums, staying active and hanging out with my best friend Diesel, my 3 yr. old chocolate lab. I would like to find a job with PR in event planning.

I'm Emily from Auburn. I can't wait until I can graduate and travel the world!

You may remember me from InternQuest (www.auburn.edu/~meltoea/blog). Yes, I know I abandoned it, and I am so sorry for that. Forgive me.

I'm looking forward to sharing my thoughts and ambitions with everyone willing to read them.

Hello, my name is Todd and, as you can imagine, I'm a senior in Public Relations. I also major in Journalism, though it isn't nearly as fun. I am currently interning for Auburn University's Office of Development in the Major Gifts division and look forward to graduating in May. I also look forward to interacting with all of you and learning about a growing aspect of PR. War Eagle!
